Definition
The percentage of available rooms occupied for a given period. It is computed by dividing the number of paid guest rooms occupied for a period by the number of rooms available for the same period.
Example
Occupancy = Paid Rooms Occupied / Rooms Available
The hotel ran a 68% occupancy in 2007.
