Definition

Number year-to-date group bookings for a hotel over a period of forward looking dates as compared to the same time period in a previous year.

Example

Today is December 31, 2010. Hotel A is has 1,100 group rooms reserved for the first quarter of 2011. In 2010, Hotel A received 1,000 group bookings in the first quarter. Therefore, Hotel A has achieved a Group Pace of 110% for 2011 Q1.
