Mark VanStekelenburg is a Vice President in the Los Angeles office of PKF Consulting. With PKF, Mr. VanStekelenburg conducts market feasibility studies, valuations, economic impact studies, and tourism and destination analyses. His industry experience includes hotels, resorts, spas, clubs, casino and casino resorts, timeshare, fractional ownership, condo hotels, and conference centers. He has worked extensively in Southern California, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Mexico, and Asia.
Prior to joining PKF, Mr. VanStekelenburg held various positions with the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, specifically at the Ritz Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia. Prior to Ritz Carlton, Mark worked in various positions at the Statler Hotel in Ithaca, New York, and served as a development manager for Prestige Palmera Plaza in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
Actively involved in both industry and alumni organizations, Mr. VanStekelenburg is a member of the Cornell Alumni Ambassadors Admissions Network, the Cornell Club of Los Angeles, and the Cornell Entrepreneurial Network, and is Vice President of the Los Angeles chapter of the Cornell Hotel Society. Additionally, he is a Vice-President of the Los Angeles Chapter of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals. Mr. VanStekelenburg is also currently working on attaining the certification of General Appraiser in the state of California.
Mr. VanStekelnburg earned his bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration with a concentration in finance from Cornell University.
